MAGD, Batch II

Overseas Trip

Students of Batch II of the MAGD Programme visited South Korea and China from 11 November to 1 December 2007. Dr. Rizwan Khair, Academic Coordinator, was with the students during the tour. Manzoor Hasan, Director later joined the group in Korea, while Dr. Salehuddin  Ahmed, Pro-VC joined the team in China. The study tour team visited South Korea from 11 to 24 November 2007. In South Korea, they attended a series of sessions on economic development and governance issues of South Korea delivered by scholars from KDI School of Public Policy and Management, and Yonsei University. Besides academic sessions, the team visited places of economic development and public management interest in South Korea. From 24 November to 1 December the team visited Sichuan University in Sichuan Province of the People's Republic of China. The International Affairs Office of Sichuan University made necessary arrangement for the tour in China. The team returned to Bangladesh on 1 December 2007. On their return the students made a presentation on their learning in South Korea and China where Mr. Md. Abdus Salam Khan, Secretary, Ministry of Establishment and Her Excellency Ms. Bea Ten Tusscher, Ambassador, Royal Netherlands Embassy, Dhaka were present.
